James Priest's introduction to Sociocracy 3.0, during his week-long series of presentations at the Mutual Aid Network Summit in Madison, Wisconsin in late August 2015. This 45 minute portion of the training was presented on the second day as a means of bringing new participants up to speed about the history and principles embodied in the practice of Sociocracy 3.0, an inclusive and effective means of organizational governance. Interview recorded on August 27, 2015, when James was in Madison, Wisconsin presenting a week-long series of programs around governance issues with the newly-forming Mutual Aid Network during its nine-day Summit. In this hour-long conversation, we delve into the history and philosophical underpinnings of Sociocracy 3.0 (or "S3"), in ways the seek to demonstrate the reasons why it is forming a transformative role as a framework for inclusive and effective governance and group facilitation.
